Squash Open Day - Saturday 11th May at 3pm

We are advertising and holding a free Open Day on Saturday May 11th from 3pm for anyone of any age to come down and try the sport. We will also have racquet ball available and will include this if people are interested.

We will have coaches and volunteers available to demonstrate or show the basics to any newcomers so they can have a game. We have rackets, balls and safety glassses so all they will need to have is appropriate clothing that they can run around in and a pair of trainers.

Our coaches are England Squash registered and DBS cleared hence we can let anyone play who wants to have a go. We are keeping the day very informal and will allow people to do as much or as little as they like. This isn’t a hard sell, the hope is the ease of the game will sell it for us and they will want to come back.

Squash is more accessible than many folk realise and most people with a good hand eye co-ordination can have a run round and enjoy themselves very quickly.

We have arranged for the Main Club to be open at this time and we will have the link door open so visitors can pop in for a cup of tea or other drink as they see fit.

This brief note is to keep you in the picture and you don’t need to do anything. I may tap some of you up to help us out on the day however I don’t know in advance if we will be inundated with people or sat on our own watching the sport reoports come in.

We can but try. As ever any issues please shout or buttonhole anyone on the Committee and we will try to help.

Regards

Richard May
