Burghfield social/squash club defibrillator training session As you will now be aware we have installed a defibrillator in the squash club, it is housed in a cabinet in the hall way next to the fuse boards. This defibrillator is for use by the whole club. Access to it from the main club and bars will be via the stage door into the squash area. In previous communications about the provision of the defibrillator I had said that I was going to arrange some training on how to use it, should there be an emergency. I am very pleased that we have a very well qualified volunteer who is prepared to do some basis training for us. The training session is now arranged on Saturday 11th March 4pm – 5pm (before club night) The training will cover: • Very basic first aid • CPR • When to use and how to use the defibrillator Can you please confirm to me, by email, if you would like to attend this training session so that we know the numbers involved? Before you decide if you should attend the training, please think about the situation where you may be playing squash and your opponent collapses and there is no one else around.
