The Main Club are facing some difficult financial challenges currently as all of their costs are going up this year. Rent, rates, labour and supplier costs. The increases range from 5 to15% and we have agreed to do our bit to help by increasing our contributions to them by 15% from 1st February.
So to achieve this we will need to raise the court costs which were last revised in April 2021.
From Monday 16th February booking costs will therefore increase from £1.20 to £1.40 and light meter costs per 8 minutes the same from £1.20 to £1.40. A booked court will therefore cost £8.40 as opposed to £7.20 currently. At this price we remain below other local facilities which are currently charging £12.
I can see you all preparing now to get those games in early next month to save that 60p per person!
Any issues please speak with any of us on the Committee. We are aware that the other way we can help is by consciously using the Main Club facilities more so we will try to do this as well. They do a range of soft and alcoholic drinks and the pizza franchise is open Tuesday through to Saturday as well from 7pm to 10.30pm.
