As you are undoubtedly all aware we are doing our best to promote Junior Squash in the Club and we have one of the more active Junior Sections in Berkshire.
This is getting us some attention and indeed support from England Squash. We may even feature in some of their future media publicity or reviews of Clubs and it is all very positive.
So well done to the Junior Coaching Team at our Club; Gareth May, Simon Lee and Michael Gumley.
One of the mantras of England Squash is promoting the wider use of the Single Spot yellow ball to promote the quality of the game for the wider community and those lower down the ranking ladder.
The single spot leads to a faster more enjoyable game with longer rallies and it rewards the player with the greater technical skills to kill the ball.
Similarly to how Point a Rally has been introduced we would like Boxes 6, 7 and 8 to start to play with the Single Yellow spot from the next League period from 27th January.
Equally for the Boxes above if both players agree to do so please try it.
We will review how this goes after 6 months but we hope you all find it more enjoyable and get better matches.
